Suyeon KANG

Nationality: Australian

Suyeon has studied at the Australian Institute of Music and the Australian National Academy before moving to Germany, where she now studies with Daniel Gaede at the Hochschule für Musik in Nürnberg. Suyeon was named Symphony Australia Young Performer of the Year (2005). She was a finalist in the Young Concert Artists Competition New York (2008), semi-finalist at the International Leopold Mozart Violin Competition in Germany (2009) and winner of the Kammermusikwettbewerb des Mozart Vereins Nürnberg (2009). As a soloist she has appeared with the Bayerisches Rundfunk Orchester, the Melbourne, Tasmanian, Queensland and Canberra Symphony Orchestras and the Orchestra Victoria. In recent years she has recorded for major Australian radio stations.
