Jian started playing the violin aged four and studied with Burkhard Godhoff from 2002-2006. He is now studying with Jan Repko at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester. In 2008 Jian was awarded the MBF Manoug Parikian Award. He has performed in numerous solo and ensemble recitals and appeared as a soloist with the Buxton Music Society Orchestra, the Nottingham Youth Orchestra, the KEMS Orchestra and the Folkestone and Hythe Orchestral Society.
