Ji-Yoon is studying with Nam Yun Kim at the Korean National University of Arts. She has won numerous 1st and 2nd Prizes in Korean national music competitions including the Music Chunchoo Competition (2002) and the Ihwa-Kyung Hyang Music Competition (2003). A semi-finalist at the Johansen International Competition for Young String Players in Washington DC (2009), she received 2nd Prize at the Intern. Violin Comp. in Kloster Schöntal (2009). As youngest member of the KNUA String Quartet she was semi-finalist at the London Intern. String Quartet Comp. (2009). Her orchestral appearances include the Union Symph. Orch., the Gangnam Symph. Orch. and the Seoul Philharmonic.
