Deniz TAHBERER

Date of birth: May 31, 1989
Nationality: Turkish

Deniz is studying with Mariana Sirbu at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig. He has won 1st Prize at a number of competitions in Turkey, Italy and Canada including Top Prize at the Canetti International Violin Competition in Italy (2004) and 1st Prize at the Performing Arts BC National Strings Competition in Canada (2009). He has taken masterclasses with leading teachers throughout Europe and Canada and taken part in the Margess and the Canetti International Music Festival. Deniz regularly performs in recitals and has appeared as a soloist with the Vancouver Academy Symphony Orchestra, the Antalya, the Çukurova, and the Izmir Symphony Orchestra and others. He is also an active composer.
