The Norwegian Academy of Music offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programmes in a wide range of musical fields within classical music, improvosed music/jazz and traditional Nordic music.

Study Programmes at the Norwegian Academy of Music

For most programmes Norwegian is the primary language of instruction, though individual instruction may be in another language, mostly English. A selected number of degree programmes are offered in English.

All programmes at the Norwegian Academy of Music are in accordance with the common European Bologna Process.

 

 

Bachelor's Level Programmes

Doctoral programmes 

The National Norwegian Artistic Research Fellowships Programme

  • The National Norwegian Artistic Research Fellowships Programme is parallel to other research educations organised as academic PhD programmes. The programme intends to secure high level artistic research and leads to expertise as Associate Professor.
