The Norwegian Academy of Music offers undergraduate, master's and doctoral programmes in a wide range of musical fields within classical music, improvised music/jazz and traditional Norwegian music.
Study programmes at the Norwegian Academy of Music
Most programmes have Norwegian as the primary language of instruction, though individual instruction may be in another language, mostly English. A selected number of degree programmes will be offered in English.
From Autumn 2010 the Academy is introducing two one-year programmes, Supplementary Performance Studies – Bachelor level and In-Depth Performance Studies – Master’s level.
The bachelor-level programme is intended as a preparatory course for our Master’s level programmes. While the Master’s level programme is intended for applicants already at this level.
