Announcement of the First Network Conference March 14-16 2011.
General information
Due to our funding from Nordforsk, we are happy to be able to invite about 30 participants from all Nordic countries. Accomodation and travel costs will be free.
The first Nordic network conference on Music, Culture, and Health (MUCH) will be held at Olavsgården (outside Oslo)
PhD-students are invited to participate and to present their ongoing research.
Panels is set up allowing researchers from all Nordic countries to present and discuss their research.
Topic
The topis is Music and Health: Generative mechanisms
Application
Deadline for application to participate is December 1, 2010

Please attach max 1 page word file with the following information:
a. Name, e-mail, workplace, academic position
b. Current interest in Music, Culture and Health-research
c. Your willingness as a PhD-student to present
d. Your willingness as a researcher to participate in a panel of researchers and/or act as opponent for a ph.d.student.

Guest lecturers:
From the MUCH-Network:
- Professor Brynjulf Stige, University of Bergen, Norway, will speak about criteria for the use of qualitative research methods.
- Associate professor Kari Bjerke Batt-Rawden, Østlandsforskning, Norway, will speak about her action research on the use of music with persons with long-term illness.
- In addition PhD-researchers are invited to present their ongoing research and we will set up panels allowing participants from all Nordic countries to present and discuss their research.
