Welcome to the homepage for the Nordic Network of Research in Music, Culture, and Health (MUCH)! The network was formally founded at a meeting at The Norwegian Academy of Music in January 2010 and aims at bringing together different strands of Nordic based research in the field of music, culture and health.
After our first successful conference in March this year we are happy to announce the next conference in March 2012: Monday 12 - Wednesday 14. The conference will be held at the same place - Olavsgården outside of Oslo.
At the first meeting in January 2010 a working group elaborated the objectives for the Nordic cooperation framing the purpose of a Nordic Network in music, culture and health.
Several nordic researchers are members of The Nordic Netweork of Research in Music, Culture, and Health (MUCH) and the steering committee consists of members from four Nordic countries. Who are all these people?
One of the aims of the Nordic Network of Research in Music, Culture, and Health is to cooperate with researchers and institutions outside the Nordic countries. An international consortium of universities and conservatories is one of the most important colaborators. See the list of collaborators.
The members of the Nordic Network for Resaerch in Music, Culture, and Health - who are a larger number than the steering committee -, are disseminating their research in books and articles. On these pages we will present some of the recent publications done by the members of the network.
