The title of the congress is "Music therapy models, methods and techniques." While the main focus will be around the title of the congress, researchers from interdiciplinary fields are encouraged to participate. The hosts hope that many music psychologists, music educators, musicologists, and psychotherapists - as well as music therapy researchers, clinicians, and students - will be among the participants. New deadline for abstract submission is December 16th, 2011.
The University of Jyväskylä is located in Central Finland, and is the third largest University in the country. The Department of Music is an internationally recognized research centre, and since 2008 has hosted the Centre of Excellence in Interdisciplinary Music Research.
