3.-6. juli 2012 holder The International Association of Music and Medicine sin andre internasjonale konferanse i Bankok, Thailand.

Det international selskab for MusikMedicin - The International Association of Music and Medicine (IAMM) - blev stiftet i 2009 og har musikterapeuten Dr. Jane Edwards som præsident. Selskabet, som i udpræget grad er tværfagligt, udgiver det glimrende tidsskrift Music & Medicine, der i overensstemmelse med selskabets meget brede definition af MusikMedicin også publicerer artikler om musikterapi på hospitaler - somatiske såvel som psykiatriske.
IAMM er sommeren 2012 vært for sin anden internationale konference, som finder sted i Bangkok, Thailand ved Chugalonghorn Universitetet 3.-6. juli. Om konferansen sier Jane Edwards:
"On behalf of the International Association for Music & Medicine I invite you to join us in Thailand in July 2012 at the beautiful and welcoming campus of Chugalonghorn University in Bangkok Thailand. This conference promotes the interests of the growing international community of practitioners and researchers who wish to share their passion for the use of music in health and medicine. The conference will be of interest to researchers investigating any intersections of music, health and medicine. Medical doctors, qualified music therapists, artists in healthcare, and all interested persons will receive a warm welcome to the conference."
